The 6:30pm problem

It’s 6:30pm. The fridge is open. Nothing has been decided.

You meant to cook. There’s half a bag of spinach, some eggs and no plan. By the time you’ve scrolled for a recipe, worked out what’s missing and weighed a store run against the app on your phone, the decision has made itself.

The cooking was never the hard part. It’s the deciding, the shopping and the sequencing that have to happen first, and they land on the exact evening you have least left to give.

What you get

Four things, every week

Enough to cover the week, and nothing extra for you to keep track of.

The menu

A week of dinners, decided

Three nights or seven, whichever you told us you cook. A late Tuesday gets something that's done in twenty minutes.

The recipes

Written out properly

Timings inside the steps, and a line at the top telling you what to have out before you start. Nothing to work out while the pan is hot.

The list

One trip, nothing spare

Ordered the way your store is laid out, with quantities that match the recipes. No half a bunch of dill going soft by Sunday.

The schedule

When to do what

What's worth forty minutes on Sunday, what waits for the night. Roast the squash once and it turns up in three dinners.

Your list, this week

  • Produce

    Cauliflower · Thai basil · Limes ×3 · Scallions

  • Butcher

Chicken thighs 2½ lb · Beef shin 2 lb

  • Fish

    Salmon fillets ×2, skin on

  • Pantry

Freekeh · Pappardelle · Jasmine rice · Harissa

An extract. Quantities match the recipes, so one trip covers the week and stops there.

Who it’s for

People who want to eat well and keep losing the weeknight

Busy professionals

You get in at seven with the decision still to make. By eight you've ordered in again.

Couples

Two sets of tastes, one plan. Nobody has to be the one who always decides.

Small families

Dinner everyone will actually eat, without cooking twice or negotiating at the table.

How it works

Set it up once. Then it arrives.

  1. 01

    Tell us how you eat

A short profile: what you love, what you can't have, how many nights you cook, who's at the table. Five minutes, once.

  2. 02

    We build your week

Each week your plan arrives with the menu, the recipes, the shopping list and the prep schedule. Written by hand for your profile.

  3. 03

    You cook, in your kitchen

Nobody arrives at your door. We decide the week, write the list and work out the timings. The cooking stays yours.

Questions

The things people ask first

Do you cook in my home?

No. Nobody from Misebox comes to your house. We decide the week, write the recipes, build the list and work out the timings. You cook, in your own kitchen, on the nights you chose. For most of our clients that's the part they wanted to keep.

What happens with allergies?

They go in your profile once and shape every plan after that. We design dishes that don't contain the thing, rather than handing you a recipe with a note to swap something out.

Is the food itself included?

No. You buy your own groceries, and what you spend on them is yours either way. The membership covers the planning, the recipes, the list and the schedule. On The Full Week we also place the order for you.

I don't cook every night. Does that work?

Tell us the nights you actually cook and that's what we plan. Three dinners a week is common, and it sits at the lower end of the range.

What if I don't like something on the menu?

Reply and we change it. Your notes go back into your profile, so the plan gets closer to right every week.

Can I pause or stop?

Yes. It's month to month. Tell us before your next billing date and we'll pause you for a month or close the membership, with no notice period to work through.

Next Tuesday is already decided.
